Project DUNBAAR is a multi-service intervention program for African-American youth (ages 8-16) and their families who reside in the McDaniel-Glenn area.

OBJECTIVES

• To reduce community crime and violence
• To increase youth's self-concept and coping skills
• To decrease youth's school suspension rates
• To increase youth's academic achievement
• To decrease youth's involvement with juvenile court
• To provide parents with monthly workshops and/or family meetings
• To increase youth's vocational development and entrepreneurial skills

CONSORTIUM

A group of 20 community organizations is responsible for the coordination of services to enhance the development of youth.
