What Is
Project Stress Control?.....
Project Stress Control is a primary prevention
program that teaches coping skills for reducing stress
in students K-12, parents, teachers and administrators.
The program was piloted for three years
in Fulton County, Elementary and Middle Schoools. During that time the Project has:
  • Reduced out-of-school suspension by 40%
  • Reduced violent acts by 50%
  • Contributed to academic gains as
    measured on standardized tests
  • Increased parent and community participation
    in school activities
  • Increased participants knowledge of coping
    skills to control stress
  • Increased community support for students
    and school
  • Increased public awareness of the need for
    delinquency prevention.
Growth & Expansion.....
Currently, the Project Stress Control is available to provide stress management services
to students (k-12) parents and teachers at all schools in Georgia, across the Nation and internationally.
What Are Its Goals.....
The success of Project Stress Control can be attributed
to the fact that it provides training for all involved
in a child's education. The parent, teacher, administrator
and student are taught stress control techniques in
workshops abd classes and through consultation and use
of resource information provided by the program coordinator.

  • Acupressure Techniques
